Stiles Harold Williams won the tender for management of the non-trading portfolio in Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Essex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Greater London. The contract was fomalised in January 2001 with a portfolio of 228 properties, which include retail, offices and light industrial.
With the purchase by the Co-op Group of Balfour and Alldays, the number of properties under Stiles Harold Williams management has increased to a maximum of 340. The Co-op has rationalised its trading portfolio and Stiles Harold Williams manages a number of former department stores and dairy depots. The professional work on the portfolio now includes rent reviews and lease renewals on trading stores and properties within the Co-op Group investment portfolio.
Stiles Harold Williams’s property management role has led to work for BCD, initially just on the portfolio within Stiles Harold Williams’s management, but now instructions are received directly from the Co-op on properties not within the portfolio, both residential and trading stores.
Stiles Harold Williams agency and development departments are now also directly involved in advising the Co-operative Group on its property portfolio.
