Stiles Harold Williams were instructed by solicitors acting for one of the parties in matrimonial proceedings, the other party owning a substantial portfolio of property in the South East.

Having met the solicitors and their client at their London office, further information was required, inquiries and inspections were made and detailed expert valuation reports were submitted within the required timescale.

Several weeks later, SHW’s expert valuer noted an announcement in the property press that part of the portfolio had been sold and immediately informed the solicitors of this. A rapid chain of events followed which led to them obtaining injunctive relief, tracking down the proceeds of sale (which had been moved offshore) and ultimately repatriating the funds.

The instructing solicitor commented “Had it not been for the SHW valuer's eagle-eye and conscientiousness, it is more than likely that my client would not have been able to recover the money which had been removed from this jurisdiction. I cannot sufficiently emphasise how satisfied I was (and, indeed, my client was) by his competence and professionalism. Nor can I over-emphasise the extent of his contribution to the final outcome as described above."
